i have the 30 day trial version of photoshop.

I added all these funny captions to my pictures.

In my ''my pictures'' and the files, the only way I can see the pictures is if I open it with photoshop.

How do I email this pictures, and put them on myspace??

The others are correct. You'll also want them as .jpg's because psd's are quite large and take up a lot of space, although you won't be able to edit them the same way later. Paint should be sufficient for you to add captions.

When you are saving them, click on the ''Save As...'' dropdown menu and pick either a .JPG or .PNG file format to save them as.

If it asks you for special settings, just click ''Ok'' and accept the default settings.
Save it as ''jpg''. Assuming you did everything else right. Can't imagine what else could be wrong.

Photoshop C2S won't print some photos, but does others.?

I am new to Photoshop. I am using the trial version of Photoshop C2S. I am printing approximately 20 photos and three of them print as a blank page. I know its not the printer as it is full of ink and I can print other photos, but these few only comes out as a blank page. Anyone have any ideas as to getting these to print?

Does your printer have enough memory to print them?

Could it be a postscript level problem?

For example, your photoshop file is level 3 postscript, and your printer is only level 2 postscript capable.

Try using the magnetic lasso tools to select the shape and then cut it out. Then replace the space with something else.

Press W to use the magic want tool, assuming the tattoo is all one color. Click on the tatoo only, then invert selection. Then Clear. you should be left with only the tatoo.

If one click of the magic wand didn't work, select each individual part of the tatoo then invert the selection when you have selected it in its entirety. Then clear it, then voila!

The answers that you have got are correct one, but it needs practice in photoshop to use lasso tool correctly.

While using lasso tool, what you can do is, make many duplicate layers of the image. Hide all others when working on each. Use lasso tool on part by part on each layer as you are quite novice. Making small selections will help you. Also, if after starting the selection, if you click somewhere you didnt want to, you can press 'backspace' key on keyboard to go back to earlier click of selection.

You will have to use the marquee tool to outline around the other person, and cut him out, and paste him in front of the other guy....

You may want to use layers. This requires that person you added is still on his or her own layer. Make sure your layers palette is open. You should see at least two layers, one is the original pic, the top one has the person you added.

Now, drag the layer thumbnail of the original down to the bottom of the layers palette over the icon that looks like a square page with a corner turned. That's your New Layer button, and what you are doing is copying the original layer.

In the layers palette, grab that copy of the original and drag it to the top, so it is the first layer. You should now have sort of a layer sandwich as follows (top to bottom): Original layer copy (it will say whatever the name of the layer is with ''copy'' after it), the layer with the new person, and the original layer on the bottom.

I have the latest versions CS2, for PC. they open and close and function very slowly. I have 512 RAM, and 127 GB free space on my hard drive. Right-click on the blue task bar at the bottom of your screen and select ''Task Manager''. Click the Performance tab. Now start Photoshop and/or Illustrator and watch your processor (top graph) and memory (bottom graph). If your processor spikes and stays near 100%, the problem is your processor. If your memory jumps up near, to, or past your 512MB, then you're out of memory.
You should try too have another 512 mg of ram or try in your virtual memory and put it at 1G or 2 and select for program ok

Photoshop is not an easy app to master. Pro level courses really don't exist - at least I have never found any. Some have claimed to be ''advanced'' - but they disappointed (me, at least).

For free tutorials, type ''Photoshop CS2 tutorial'' into Google. There are 1,900,000 returns on that. There are also tutorials built into the help files in Photoshop.

Check out the Adobe website, and the user forums. Lots to be learned there.

Photoshop: what does this mean?

When i try to open photoshop, sometimes, an error message comes up saying ''cannot load default brushes/patterns/styles because the scratch disks are full''

Then it says ''Cannot initialize photoshop because the scratch disks are full.''

Then it closes the program. It's only done this twice. Sometimes it works, other times it says that.

It means there isn't enough space for temporary files on your hard drive to run the program, or just the brushes. It's usually when it's set to ''start-up.''

The reason it is doing that is because the resolution of the image you are taking the head from is bigger than the resolution of the target image. The way to resize it is to first make sure that the layer with the new head is active, then click on edit%26gt;transform%26gt;scale and while holding down the shift key click on a corner of the photo and drag inwards until you have sized it to the size you want, then hit enter. I had photoshop CS. I uninstalled it. step by step. After everything, it showed uninstallation completed. Then I Installed Photoshop CS2. Then when i checked the folder in Program files, there was both the versions. CS and CS2. I tried uninstalling 5 times again. Again they showed that it was successful. But it is still there. How to uninstall it?

After the uninstall completes you may have to delete the program file manually. Some software unistall programs will not delete a directory if there is data in it that was not originally from the install. Like saved files.

How do you change the Photoshop CS2 brushes to Photoshop 7.0?kawasaki

Well the brush itself can't be imported into photoshop 7, but you can use the brush to make another brush for photoshop 7. Here is the basic idea....

1) Load the brush into CS2 and stamp it on a new blank white image

2) Save the file as a PSD image

3) Open up the PSD file in photoshop 7

4) Hold ctrl and hit ''A'' to ''Select All'' which will put a border around the entire white image. That is fine.

5) Go to Image %26gt;%26gt; Adjustments %26gt;%26gt; Levels... and move the arrow to the right to make the image as dark as possible without degrading its quality.

6) Click ok to leave the dialog box

7) Go to Edit %26gt;%26gt; Define Brush...

8) Save the brush with a new name (leave it as psd extension)

9) Now select the pen tool and go to the brushes palette window... scroll down to the bottom and you should see your new brush there. Select it and go back to the image you want to use it on.

10) You can use the new brush on whatever image you like.

Hopefully these steps don't appear too complicated. Just take each one step by step and you should be fine. I know this is troublesome if you have a bunch of brushes, but remember when Photoshop 7 was out, CS2 wasn't even thought of yet. You can't expect them to be compatible.

Going from photoshop 7 up to CS2 with brushes are just fine however.

Question about Photoshop memory and CPU usage?

It probably sounds like I'm an idiot but I'm not very technical when it comes to system stuff - but I need help on this. I have my scratch disk set on my main drive because I can't afford to get another drive. Is it safe to do this and what is the safest setting to use so that it won't mess up my computer?

I just did a bunch of work in Photoshop and now whenever I open it my CPU usage shoots up to 100% and stays there even after I close Photoshop - it only comes down if I restart. But if I open PS again (even after restarting), the same thing happens again.

I don't really understand all of this, but I know the thing with the memory isn't good. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do? Is there any way to ''empty'' Photoshop's caches or memory or whatever? I realize I sound like a dimwit, LOL.

Help would be much appreciated - ask me if you need any more details. Thanks in advance! And please give any instructions in English that I can understand ;D

Here's a sample of what could be done using Match Color (Image/Adjustments/Match Color). Trying to exactly insert the color and brightness of the sample photo eye to the model's eyes made her look like an alien, so the brightness was reduced somewhat.

if you have an image in photoshop and you want only a layer from the image to send to illustrator, you simply use the move tool, select the layer you want and drop it in the illustrator window, right? well what if you want to switch a layer from photoshop to indesign? when i try to do the same thing, select and drop, it doesnt accept it. if i save the layer as a jpeg and reopend it in indegn, it appears with a white background. how do i get the image/figure i want that i fixed in photoshop to indesign withOUT having that white background and only the figure/image??

You can import PSD files into Indesign

make the layer you want into a new document, do not flatten the image. Save it as a photoshop file and then place it into In Design.

If you aren't using layer masks or transparencies in the layer you should create a clipping path in Photoshop (using the pen tool draw around the shape then use the drop down menu in the Paths palette and make it a clipping path) This should get rid of the background that is showing up.

Hello - I would appreciate your help with my following question.

Does Photoshop need to be the first creative suite two application to be opened so that the other CS2 apps will maintain their color settings? I work in a creative department with over 80 designers and retouchers. Every so often some employees experience unexplained changes to their CS2 color settings found in some apps including: Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc. We use Mac Pros Towers or Mac G5 Towers, on a network, running the latest version of Tiger.

Our MIS team have informed us, ''To prevent the CS2 apps color settings from changing, we should run Photoshop first and the other apps afterwards. Doing so will prevent the color settings from changing/defaulting unexpectedly.''

DOES THIS MAKES ANY SENSE TO YOU???
